Peter Mooney ACEA FNAVA - Senior Partner

Peter has been a Commercial Bailiff certificated by the county court for 30 years, over the past twenty years, Peter has also specialised as a valuer and auctioneer in the commercial market. He started his career when he was only 18 years old, with his stepfather called Sherlock, it was almost inevitable that he should have started out as a private investigator. Frank Sherlock started what became one of the largest detective agencies in the north east of England after retiring from the Metropolitan police in the late sixties.

Peter was the process server who personally served Arthur Scargil and his fellow union representatives with the injunction that froze the assets of the union and ended the minors strike.

He also served the union representatives in the disputed move from Fleet street to Wapping by the Sun newspaper group with the injunction that seized the assets of the Unions that ended the dispute.

Over the past 30 years Peter has headed County Bailiff Company which acts exclusively for commercial landlords and their agents.

In addition he was commissioned by the Law Society to co-author a new book on The Tribunals Courts and Enforcements ACT 2007, which was given Royal assent on 19 July 2007, the first edition of the book entitled Enforcement and Debt Recovery, A Guide to the New Law was released in January 2008 and is now completing the second addition due to be released in January 2014.

Peter also contributed to a second book called Property Insolvency released by JORDANS Publishing Limited, released in January 2009, and was also a leading speaker covering international asset location and disposal at the 2004 Computer & internet crime conference.

Peter is a fellow member of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers, (NAVA), and a member of the Association of Civil Enforcement Agencies (ACEA) and a member of the British Property Federation

Marc Mooney - Head of Enforcement

Marc joined County in 2005 and is the third generation of the company; following his father Peter Mooney into the industry. His extensive knowledge of enforcement law has grown since showing an interest in the business from an early age. Marc is highly experienced in commercial rent recovery, squatter evictions, forfeitures and high court enforcement.
